Darren was one of the founding members of the business having worked for
8 years previously in the hospitality industry.

Darren has gained a wealth of experience from his personnel interaction preferring to meet face
to face with clients to demonstrate his passion and determination to offer service unsurpassed.

Darren has worked in the sector for 14 years and is fully experienced in contract negotiations and delivers beyond expectations consistently.

His strong communication skills business acumen and strong financial control along with his individual personal skills allow Darren to be a recognised leader in the market sector.

Darren’s role includes the preparation and response to client tenders, presentation and project negotiations.

Service delivery and client retention, and the development of new products and services.

Fiona joined A&J in 2007 after working for 5 years previously in management accounts.

Richard has been with A&J since its formation, he has been involved in the majority of our larger projects.

Richard has over 25 years’ experience of working within the construction industry,
15 years of which are specific to the hospitability and leisure sectors.

Richard’s communication skills mean he is equally comfortable liaising with clients, there representatives to keep them up to date on developments on site, or communication with subcontractors suppliers or direct labour to organise workloads, schedules and solve any issues.

Richards excellent organisation skills, and past training as a carpenter, along with his fine eye for detail, ensure his projects are finished on time to the excellent standard expected by the client.

David joined A&J in 2012
as Technical Manager from working directly for the hotel industry with Marriott Hotels and more recently Arora Hotels.

Prior to working for the hotels David had gained contractor experience working in
both remodelling and mechanical installations.

David has worked in the sector for 12 years and is fully experienced in live operations and uses this to advise and guide the client, his time working directly is an invaluable asset in understanding the
customer’s needs

David has taken hotels through full refurbishment
and managed small works
and treats all projects with equal importance and relevance.

David’s role includes the preparation and response to client tenders, presentation
and project negotiations.

client retention, and the development of new
products and services.

Michael has an administration background and manages to combine excellent organisation skills with sound administration expertise. He is competent and assured to prioritise work effectively.

He has a procedural approach to organisation, is technically knowledgeable and has a can do – will do attitude.

Full Time Project Administrator with the added responsibility of assisting in credit control. He understands the importance of offering service plus to our high profile clients as well as he is involved in all projects.

Paul has vast experience in national building projects and a strong background in fit out and refurbishment. Paul brings a strong commercial bias and customer focus to projects which is demonstrated by the delivery and success of several key projects all associated with the Hospitality sector.

Paul manages to combine excellent communication skills with sound working knowledge of new build, refurbishment & building maintenance, spanning local authority, residential, fit out, hotel, commercial and leisure. Paul has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project from tender to completion stage.

The combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts as well as more general management skills, qualify Paul to be appointed as the principal Group Operations Manager for Atkinson & James Interiors.

Paul is a self-motivated health and safety professional with over 20 years’ experience in the subject, covering a variety of different business sectors.

He has experience in establishing and maintaining management systems aligned to relevant standards and ensuring compliance. Reducing ill health and accidents through introduction of key strategies year on year.

Experience in leadership, good communication skills, and is both approachable and flexible, who works in partnership with a variety of customers on differing projects, meeting deadlines, whilst achieving objectives through the effective use of resources.
